Hannah + Cody met at the 2013 Iowa state fair when her family won the steer show and his family won the heifer show. With ranch roots within the both of them, they fell quickly in love with one another. Hannah took so much time picking out all the details for their dream day from a brand painted backdrop to a cowhide bar menu.
To add their healthy competition on steers vs. hefiters. They had steer + heifer jars, to help them raise money for their honeybook. One was labeled steers, the other labeled heifers. Their families and friends have grown up showing cattle and are still involved in the cattle industry. So whoever is involved with showing or selling steers donated to that jar and heifers the other jar. It was such a fun moment to share with thier family who are fully devoted to this way of life.
